Hospice - PRN Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)

This is a part-time/per diem role with per visit pay.
This role can transition to full-time with census growth.
The candidate for this role will receive mileage pay and must be comfortable working approximately a 60-mile radius from Lubbock.
Job Summary:
Primary function is to provide healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of residence; assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with patient and family and share observations and problems with the supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Promote hospice mission, goals and philosophy.
Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency.
Demonstrate compliance with policies, procedures, regulations defining scope of practice.
Promote security and safety of Protected Health Information.
Participate in programs and on committees as requested.
Participate in ongoing education as required.
Provide services according to the Hospice Aide Care Plan.
Coordinate with RN-develop/update plan of care to meet the needs.
Attend IDG meetings, as requested.
Document services and submit timely.
Other duties as assigned.
Report changes to the RN.
Qualifications:
State Driver’s License .
At least one year preferred, as a hospice aide or nursing assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long term care facility.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Sensitivity to issues of loss and grief; Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job and population serviced; Ability to work without consistent direct supervision.
Reliable transportation.
CPR certified; TB health screen or TB test/CXR according to policy; Hepatitis B Vaccination Consent/Declination
