We are looking for a dedicated Anesthesia Technician like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.
What You Will do in this Role:
Work under the guidance of a licensed anesthesiologist and other medical professionals in the operating room, including surgeons and registered nurses, must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to make decisions appropriately.
Be responsible for ongoing monitoring and recording of vital signs during procedures.
Inspect all operating room equipment used by the anesthesiologist.
Maintain, calibrate, and sterilize as appropriate any equipment within the department.
Keep all anesthesia supplies stocked and reordering when necessary.
Help transport patients to and from the operating room and PACU as necessary.
Operate patient care equipment such as an intra-aortic balloon pump
Participate in full-time call duties within the OR
Assist with nerve blocks as necessary and be able to assist with the ultrasound machine.
Assist with TEE procedures -assist with the placement of arterial lines, CVP lines, PA catheters.
Assist with the management of difficult airways.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
High School graduate or GED
BCLS and ACLS required.
Your Shift: Full Time 6:30-1500

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients.
We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery.
We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms.
