*_ *Job Summary:* *JobSiteCare's Health and Wellness Specialist *will work both independently (within guidelines) and collaboratively with the JobSiteCare clinical and administrative team to *perform injury prevention activities and injury/illness related management for employees on commercial construction/jobsites.
* *LOCATION: jobsite in Matador, TX* *Key Responsibilities *are: * Lead and train others in client *safety and occupational injury prevention* practices including *work hardening, “stretch and flex”* and *evaluation of/recommendation* for improved *ergonomics* for employees carrying out work duties.
* Assist with *patient examination* *including guided physical examination* under the direction of JSC clinical providers.
* Provide *first aid* and *guided treatment* under the direction of JSC clinical providers.
* *Develop, maintain and nurture a network of continuous positive relationships *with patients/clients and client organizations, and local sources of care and ancillary support.
* *Integrates knowledge, skills, and experience to coordinate health and medical needs* as a critical member of the JSC team while simultaneously supporting the client’s site leadership and safety teams.
* Has a respect and understanding of other clinical disciplines, psychosocial needs, workforce injury management, concierge healthcare and corporate health, and an integrated approach towards achieving positive outcomes.
* Leadership skills demonstrated in decision making and problem solving.
* Supports overall company mission to provide first-class, on demand, comprehensive healthcare anytime, anywhere.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:* * *Complies with all state and federal regulations appropriate to the practice setting.
* * *Complies with all state and federal regulations and organization confidentiality policies to include HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information.
* * Assist with the development of processes and procedures related to physical and psychosocial assessment, intervention, and ongoing management of patients at risk for poor health outcomes.
* *Patient follow-up* of medical incidents/occupational injuries under the direction of JSC clinical providers.
* Assistance with *coordination of medical care* including specialist referral and urgent care visits as needed.
* *Evaluation and management of incidents* related to infectious disease including contact tracing.
* *Maintenance of jobsite medical care space(s)*, including inventory management.
* Ensures all interactions with clients are properly documented in the *EHR*.
* *Maintains a consistent and positive customer service* image when interacting with colleagues and clients.
* Performs other duties and assists with special projects as requested by the Director for Clinical Operations.
*Ideal candidates must have:* * *Experience*: A *minimum of five years* of experience in a health-related field.
* *Licensure*: *BLS, CPR, First Aid certification*, *NREMT certification a plus.
* * _*Previous EMT, Preventive Medicine Technician*_*,\* or *similar training/experience is required.
* For individuals coming from a _*military background*_, the role is very similar to that of a _*senior battalion/squadron/ship’s medic/combat medic/healthcare specialist*_*.
*_Master Fitness Trainer_ certification is strongly recommended.
* *Experience* *in Emergency Medicine, Occupational Health, Concierge Medicine* and/or Psychology/Social Work a plus.
* *Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* * *Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
* * *Proficient computer skills required.
* *Physical and General Requirements:* * Able to *lift* twenty-five (25) pounds, and occasionally 40-50 pounds.
* Able to sit for several hours at a time with periodic breaks.
* Able to stand for up to an hour at a time.
* Possess a *driver’s license* in good standing, a *dependable vehicle and adequate automobile insurance*.
* _On the job airline travel may be required_.
\*Training will be provided in job-site injury prevention to include ergonomics and stretch/flex activities.
