CDL Driver

Position Description: The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating a truck with the capacity of more than 3 tons and to transport materials to and from specified locations.
We are safety first and customer friendly.
Same day home and normally weekends off.
Occasional overnight hauls.
Primary Responsibilities: Safely operate company commercial vehicle.
Ability to properly secure and protect loaded materials during transit and protect from inclement weather (tarp loads, etc.
) Preform emergency roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs, etc.
Pre-trip/Post-trip inspection of equipment replacing lights, reflective tape, and straps as needed and maintain ELD log, according to state and federal guidelines • Effectively communicate with supervisor to receive delivery and pick up instructions.
Able to follow all company delivery processes and procedures including collecting payment and help load and unload truck as needed Maintain good housekeeping in the tractors and report any needed repairs or maintenance to the supervisor Required Background, Competencies & Expertise: Commercial driver’s license- Class A (required) Clean MVR Verify employment for the past 3 years Minimum 1-year driving experience (required) Recent 6-month flatbed experience Able to handle physical workload and occasionally lift and or move up to 51 pounds Strong work ethic and positive attitude Neat appearance and customer friendly Reliable and trustworthy Forklift Certification
