Job Description
Summary: Priority I- Provide bus driving services and light vehicle maintenance.
Bus driving services will sometimes require overnight trips and multiple day trips, both in and out of state.
Some of these trips may be required during holidays.
These duties include, but not limited to:
Ensure motor pool vehicles are clean and safe for College personnel use.
Ensure College vehicles are current on inspections, registrations, and maintenance schedules.
Track vehicle repairs, odometer readings, and associated costs.
Assisting in scheduling and planning of trips
Priority II- Provide General Maintenance services in the Physical Plant Department as needed.
These duties include, but not limited to:
Assisting in alterations of campus facilities
General repairs to flooring, ceilings, windows, etc.
Moving furniture or supplies
Deliveries
Supervisory Duties: None
Qualifications:
Meet all requirements as set by the State of Texas for CDL license
holders.
3 years passenger bus driving experience preferred.
Willingness to comply with drivers background check.
Comply with all State of Texas and Federal requirements
pertaining to Class B CDL license holders.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Texas Class B CDL, passenger endorsement
Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Have the ability to write simple correspondence.
Computer skills regarding spreadsheets a must.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions.
Alertness and careful attention is required to avoid injury to self and to others.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Texas Class B CDL, P- Passenger endorsement
