Job Summary
The IT Business Analyst Associate is responsible for providing application support for various hospital systems and helping the business implement technology solutions.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Define, analyze, and document requirements for user acceptance testing
• Determine areas for improvement and optimized workflow for existing applications ensuring that the design and build are completed successfully, clearly documented and testing all work effort while leveraging best practices.
•Participate in the coordination of projects related to the installation/enhancement of assigned systems.
• Provide initial training and documentation for end-users and/or other trainers as needed
• Work with the Information Security Office to provision/de-provision users in assigned applications.
• Work with various hospital management personnel to ensure that users/groups have appropriate security related to their job function.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and/or work with data analyst staff to create reports to meet the needs of the customer.
• Act as a liaison with the application's software vendor for routing any reported issues/questions or desired enhancements.
Provide routine feedback to the end-user regarding the status of the issues as needed.
• Field incoming tickets and work to resolve issues, or if unable to resolve issue, escalate appropriately.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, preferably with a focus in healthcare
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
• Excellent planning, organizational skills and ability to follow-through until a process is complete Knowledge of ITIL processes and how Incident, Problem, Change and Request Fulfillment impact IT assets is a plus
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This position requires close interaction with various departments, vendors and outside suppliers to facilitate a quality multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
Physical Capabilities
Occasionally exerts a small amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects.
Work involves sitting most of the time.
Brief walking or standing for short periods of time may be required
