Position Description
As a Project Design Specialist II, you will play a critical role in creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for a variety of projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AutoCAD and/or Revit, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate concepts into accurate and comprehensive construction documents.
This position will assist in the planning, scheduling, and/or coordination of project activities to meet deadlines.
The position will also assist in ensuring project compliance with various State and Federal regulatory agencies.
Work is performed under the guidance of the Project Manager.
May supervise student intern(s); assign duties and responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions Drafting and Design: Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models utilizing AutoCAD or Revit, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, interior designers, and project managers, to understand project requirements and contribute to the design process.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and models to identify and rectify errors, discrepancies, or potential issues before finalizing designs.
Modifications and Revisions: Review and revise designs based on feedback and changing project requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the design process.
Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to team members and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Documentation: Acts as a records clerk with plans, submittals, and specifications ensuring proper placement of new documentation onto the server.
Ensures all physical documents are always accounted for.
Retrieves plans, submittal data, and specifications accordingly, both physical and electronic.
Field Verification: Obtains legible, accurate, and pertinent field notes to complete designs and updating of maps.
Transfers this information in a timely manner into AutoCAD or Revit.
Required Qualifications Associates degree or higher and three years of work experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications Proven experience as a CAD designer with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
