Buddy Holly Hall is Now Hiring Restaurant Servers! Weekly Pay + Flexible Hours + PTO & Vacation Package 1300 Mac Davis Lane, Lubbock, Texas, 79401 The Restaurant Food Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Food Servers will interact with our guests and ensure they have a memorable experience when dining at the Buddy Holly Hall Restaurant.
The Restaurant Food Servers will operate in a timely, professional, and gracious manner and are expected to be attentive to our guest needs at all times.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for full knowledge of the food and beverage menu sharing the knowledge with the guests in the restaurant.
Recommend certain dishes and identify ingredients or explain how various items on the menu are prepared.
Responsible for serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages.
Must check guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
Accurately record the guest’s order by repeating the order.
Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.
Responsible for cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after the guests have left.
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Key Requirements: Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Possess valid food handling certification and alcohol service permit as required by state and federal regulations.
Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
Must be able to lift and carry trays up to 30 pounds.
Ability to communicate with team members and management staff in a business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Superior guest service skills.
Ability to work a varying schedule which includes evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job, including but not limited to bending lifting, squatting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking, pushing and pulling.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
