This position will be doing record keeping, inspection, monitoring, along with other duties over a several county area on maintenance contract work for the department based in Plainview, TX.

gov) Position Description Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters.
Work requires contact with private entities.
Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties: Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or front desk assistant.
Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles and coordinates with Business Services on adjustments needed.
Maintains equipment service records.
Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance, budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel information, and/or permitting activities.
Monitors the use of equipment and transfers.
Prepares statistical reports and verifies for accuracy and completeness.
Reviews, prepares and/or negotiates applicable program purchases for services, office materials, supplies, tools and/or equipment and monitors contracts.
Maintains calendars for department personnel to include scheduling meetings, coordinating and making appointments, and travel arrangements.
Processes receipts and invoices for payment.
Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
This position requires you to drive for TxDOT.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: None Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Competencies: Office management practices and procedures.
Automated record-keeping methods.
Inventory/stock control procedures.
Maintaining effective working relationships with others Administrative support practices and procedures to include writing, editing and report writing techniques, recording meeting notes, record keeping and records management.
Using computers and applicable programs, applications, and systems.
Maintaining a safe working relationship.
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Shows initiative and action beyond what is required to improve products or services; is self-starting and completes assignments independently without constant supervision.
Protects sensitive and confidential information.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs.
at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
