The Supportive Housing Program Support Specialist a temporary, full-time, salaried position responsible for providing administrative and program support to the Open Door Supportive Housing department which delivers services that assist individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.
The Program Support Specialist is responsible for providing case management support, assisting with Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) grant compliance activities and program financial management, and providing overall support to the PSH team and its Director.
The Program Support Specialist reports to, is supervised by and evaluated by the Supportive Housing Director.

*Primary Responsibilities*
* Provide program and administrative support to the Open Door Supportive Housing Department as a whole—helping to ensure overall grant compliance and participant satisfaction.
* Support the PSH Administrative Assistant in monitoring and tracking PSH expenses and organize receipts accordingly to facilitate monthly reimbursement and expense reporting.
* Assist in the maintenance and internal auditing of up-to-date participant files.
* Coordinate with the Open Door Housing team to provide case management and supportive services to our PSH project participants.
* Assist with participant intake and assessment.
* Assist PSH Case Managers with making referrals for general assistance, benefits, medical care, mental health care, community agencies/eligible services, substance abuse counseling/programs, employment services, etc.
* Provide support to the Housing Location Specialist in maintaining accurate housing availability information and connecting participants to those options.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications and Essential Skills*
The ideal candidate should possess:
* A High school diploma/equivalent (required) or a Bachelor’s degree (preferred);
* Strong administrative and organizational skills;
* Strong verbal and written communication skills;
* Strong attention to detail;
* Strong organizational and planning skills;
* Excellent computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required);
* A willingness to collaborate with and take direction from others;
* Valid driver's license (required).
A one (1) year commitment is expected.
