StarCare Specialty Health System seeks to invite a self-motivated Compliance Reviewer to join the Quality Management/Compliance Department.
The ideal candidate for this position is extremely detail oriented with strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
This position will appeal most to a person who is skilled at using critical thinking to interpret guidelines, who excels at time management, takes ownership of assigned tasks and delivers a quality product reflective of the work performed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct auditing and monitoring of program and administrative functions.
Develop and distribute audit and monitoring reports.
Monitor corrective action plans.
Review documentation, information systems, client records and other relevant information for compliance.
Investigate allegations of non-compliance.
Conduct regular review of state and federal websites for exclusions.
Maintain working knowledge of internal policies and procedures as well as applicable laws, rules and regulations; provide technical assistance to program areas.
The Compliance Reviewer position will work in a hybrid work environment (combination of remote and on-site) and must work on-site when job duties are required or requested by supervisor.
Some local travel may be involved using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursed at the company established rate.
Schedule: This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major in a human services field, rehabilitation or business.
Must be detailed oriented and have the skills to review and understand complex material.
Knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite products including Word, Outlook and Excel; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, Community-based IDD, MH and SUD services is preferred.
Program/Service delivery monitoring experience is also preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
Must reside in the local service area.
