As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing and Coding Clerk to join our team.
As a Billing and Coding Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and coding processes.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * · Accurate and efficient coding of medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
* · Verification of patient insurance information and claim submission.
* · Timely and accurate processing of insurance claims, including Medicare and Medicaid.
* · Resolving insurance claim denials and rejections to maximize reimbursement.
* · Collaborating with healthcare providers and other staff to clarify coding and billing information.
* · Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
* · Assisting with general administrative tasks related to billing and coding as needed.
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: * · High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in medical billing and coding preferred.
* · Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is a plus.
* · Prior experience in medical billing and coding is preferred.
* · Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
* · Familiarity with insurance verification and claims processing.
* · Proficiency in using medical billing software and EHR systems.
* · Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* · Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* · Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
