StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to join its outstanding Procurement team.
Responsibilities:
Provide support and assistance daily to Procurement Director as follows:
Process daily & monthly purchase orders and associated invoices in company financial software system as delegated by Procurement Director.
Process intercompany fund transfer documents and deliver to Accounting department daily.
Perform all assigned data entry tasks by entering data in procurement department software and company financial software as directed by Procurement Director.
Position also provides courier services to the Central Stores Warehouse Coordinator by making deliveries of Central Stores orders to StarCare facilities as required daily.
Provide back up to company mail courier when absence to ensure collection and distribution of company mail to StarCare facilities during their absence.
Provide back up to Receiving Clerk when absence and provide coverage to ensure the Receiving area is covered M-F during working hours.
Assist with variety of assigned & delegated projects and tasks as needed for other Central Administrative functions as directed by Procurement Director.
Complete all required documentation; communicate information to Procurement Director and other company staff to ensure efficient and effective operations of StarCare Administrative operations.
Schedule: This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent, plus three (3) years of related work experience is required.
Prefer experience in purchasing, receiving and/or inventory in a hospital setting.
Preferred but not required:
A broad knowledge of procurement processes such as Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Proposal (RFP) procedures.
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, etc.
,) including personal computer with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and email, etc.
) is required.
Additional Requirements:
Local travel, using agency vehicle, is required.
Position requires a valid Texas drivers license, proof of personal auto liability insurance, and insurability under agency insurance coverage.
Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
