Job Title: Veterinary Technician

*Responsibilities:*
*Patient Care:*
* Provide compassionate care to both large and small animals.
* Complete grooming tasks such as shaving, nail trims, and bathing.
* Assist veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
* Monitor and record vital signs of patients during procedures and recovery.
* Complete animal husbandry and feeding.
* Fill animal prescriptions.
*Diagnostic Support:*
* Perform laboratory tests, such as bloodwork and urinalysis.
* Take and develop X-rays.
* Prepare samples for diagnostic testing.
*Client Communication:*
* Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing information on treatment plans and postoperative care.
* Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and overall wellness for their pets.
*Administrative Tasks:*
* Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
* Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
*Hospital Maintenance:*
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic.
* Assist in the sterilization of equipment and instruments.
*Requirements:*
* Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
* Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
* Proficient in animal handling and restraint.
* Familiarity with large animals such as, bovine and equine species, and how to handle them.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
