Job Title: Collections Specialist Summary: This position is responsible for contacting customers to arrange payment of past due account balances to reduce non-pay disconnect churn.
*This position will cover the hours of 11AM - 8PM and working on Saturday's.
* Duties and Responsibilities: Contacts assigned customers on outbound calls to arrange payment of past due account balances.
Accepts inbound calls from Vexus customers to arrange payments.
Follows credit & collections processes and procedures and negotiates payment terms within policies.
Refers special credit arrangements, escalations, and high-level problematic accounts to Manager for resolution.
Coordinates with other departments on credit, collections and customer issues as needed.
Requests and pursues payment on delinquent accounts via communication with account holder.
Follow established guidelines to review and update account statuses.
Maintain log of payment promises and pertinent account details; schedule follow up communication with account holder.
Monitor accounts receivable and cash receipt reports.
Preform other related duties, as required.

Excellent communication and customer service skills Good analytical and problem-solving skills Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required One to two years of related experience in credit and collections preferred Computer Skills: Ability to use Word processing, Internet software and e-mail.
Must be capable of becoming proficient in the use of the billing system and tools used to support the customer (training provided).
