As we continue to rapidly grow, we are now looking to expand our finance department with a talented Staff Accountant who can help us maintain our financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Perform regular reconciliations of financial accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation and generation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing accounting-related inquiries.
Share in the oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Oversee the collections process.
Collaborate with the finance team to monitor budgetary activities and analyze variances.
Conduct financial analysis on business operations, costs, and expenses, providing insights to improve financial efficiency.
Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting department and implement efficient workflows.
Provide guidance and support to other team members, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred OR Associate degree in accounting with equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in financial data.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with tax laws and compliance is a plus.
Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA, preferred but not required.
