Rojave is a fast growing oil/gas service company, headquartered in Lubbock, Texas.
We are seeking a well qualified individual to hire as our Controller.
Oil/gas accounting background is definitely a plus, but not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Monitor and manage accounts payable processes
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team on accounting principles and best practices
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in public accounting or a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of SOX regulations and experience implementing internal controls
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and financial report writing
- Experience with corporate accounting functions, including balance sheet reconciliation and accounts payable management
- Advanced skills in using accounting software (e.
g.
, Sage) and MS Excel for data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
